Weird

design is rad

My brother (Spreggo) showed me this very cool design site (Yanko Design)and I thought i would post some of my favoirtes:

A light tree : The soft lights charge through the branches - you pick a light off like a fruit and the power/light in it lasts for a bout an hour - put back on the tree to charge. An attractive lamp and customizable moveable lighting.

An MP3 player that also expands to play CD's. Pretty damn cool looking....too bad i dont have any Cd's...

Customisable glasses - I think it should be called "stich & bitch"

I would like to own this phone...too bad its prolly just an ID students thesis project or something...

Again...too bad CD's are on their way out...
Chris and I could really put this dining table to use!!

Have a good weekened! happy Birthday Chris <3

How Can I recycle This? (And other rad green sites)

How can I recycle this? An awesome website that shows you neat/cool/useful/funny etc. ways of recycling/re-using things that you cannot necessarily put in the bin on your sidewalk. Pretty random things like:

Un-drinkable red-wine (use it as a window cleaner!)
broken coffee mugs (smash them into fine bits and mix it in with your garden!!)

and Potato chip bags (you can make shrinky dinks!)

World Watch: http://www.worldwatch.org/

A good Eco world news site focusing on "people, nature, economy, and energy"

Treehugger: http://www.treehugger.com/

A huge site with things like "waste of packaging awards", cool green product updates, new, movements etc.

And My favorite green blog, Sew Green: http://sewgreen.blogspot.com/

Multiple contributors with great ideas and directions on how to make your own cleaners, detergents, soap, clothes, reusable thick grocery bags out of flimsy bags you get from the store (that one was my favourite! - all you do is fuse them together which is just a fancy word for iron/melt them together between wax paper and then sew them up!)

well if they can get along...then surely…
